CastNet
is a casting service with a difference.
Founded in 1997, we are selective about the actors we
allow to join this service. You must have trained at accredited
drama school and have a minimum of three professional
acting credits before we will consider your application.
We do not simply distribute casting information. We carefully
check that you only receive details of projects that you
want to do and roles that precisely match your skills,
physicality and playing age. You then tell us which productions
appeal to you and we take care of the rest.
"All
the work is done for you. With a click of a mouse
you can put yourself in the frame for all the castings
that you could desire. With or without an agent, it
is a service that opens up your options as an actor.
As a result, I have been to several castings and have
got 5 days work with the BBC as well as two job offers
for good fringe shows. I never had such luck (if you
can call it that) when I did not use CastNet. I certainly
recommend you to all my fellow actors when they complain
about the lack of castings they get. You're brilliant!"

Every submission we
make on your behalf is hand-checked by a member of the
CastNet team and a covering letter is sent to the employer
with your CV and headshot.
As a result of this obsessive quality control, employers
only receive details of actors perfect for the roles they
are trying to cast. This is why employers treat our suggestions
seriously and why we have access to quality casting information
normally only available to agents.
Why
do actors struggle to find quality acting work using
casting reports and casting websites?
Most employers find that publishing a breakdown in
a casting report or on a casting website will result
in them being swamped with as many as 500 to 2000
CVs and Headshots. Many of those suggestions will
be from untrained, inexperienced actors who do not
meet the requirements of the role. As a result, many
employers refuse to publish breakdowns for paid acting
work.
This is the reason why casting reports are often filled
with details of unpaid work or seeking actors with
very unusual physical characteristics or skills. As
many actors receive less than six castings a year
via their agent, this leaves very few opportunities
for actors to gain access to quality casting information.

that actors only pay for the casting information they
want and employers only receive details of actors
suitable and available for their projects. |
